A little bit about the creator of Taupo Weddings...
Hi, my name is Donna Mitchell, and I have slowly but very lovingly created this Taupo Weddings website.
I have lived in Taupo since May 2001, and absolutely love this part of New Zealand. It is so diverse and offers distinct seasons, where in Summer we can bathe in the Lake on a beautiful 30degree day; and then in Winter, on a cool crisp & clear Taupo day, we can admire the snow capped mountains, which are only an hour away.
I have had several years working within the Wedding & Event industry, and are truly passionate about every aspect of it! My most recent position was as Events Manager at the beautiful Hilton Lake Taupo. During this time I worked with a lot of couples, and each and every Wedding was unique and special to them. I gained a wide knowledge of what is required in a Wedding, from start to finish, and everything in between… I have just recently finished at Hilton, leaving to run my own Wedding & Event Hire Company, called Eventrent.co.nz.
Taupo is a fantastic Wedding location, and plays host to hundreds of Weddings each year. It offers a central location and dramatic scenery, which I believe are it’s main assets, but this is not where it stops! There are many beautiful venue options, and plenty of accommodation for your friends and family. Taupo has Wedding experts in every field and all the services you could possibly require.
Taupo Weddings is a website which pulls together everything that is Wedding related in Taupo and the greater region. It provides you with a one stop directory where you can research, plan and create your dream Wedding. You may even find some useful ideas or inspiration to help you along the way. I am pleased to be involved in making this process as easy as possible, no matter where you are in the world.
Other than my passion for the Wedding industry, I also enjoy the outdoors, are a very keen snowboarder, love to cook (providing a glass of vino is in hand), and enjoy spending time with my family.
