Taupo Photo Locations

Beautiful Lake Taupo offers an array of stunning wedding photography locations.

Remember to keep in mind that you are limited for time with photo's so try keep your locations close to your ceremony & reception.  You may even be able to get some great shots at your wedding venue.   

The Lake is the most common place for wedding photos, and there are far too many lakeside locations to list here.  You are best to go for a walk around the Lions Walk when you are next in town, and find a spot that is just right for you.  

See below for some popular wedding photo spots - and don't forget to discuss this in detail with your photographer.  They know the area well and will be able to suggest some options also.

	Huka Falls New Zealand's most visited natural attraction makes a spectacular backdrop.  Take photos on the bridge over top or at one of the view points.		Wairakei Golf Course Not just for golfing fanatics!  There is also an under bridge which connects the golf course to Wairakei Resort - makes an interesting shot.
	Botanical Gardens The beautiful Taupo Botanical Gardens, change from season to season. You cannot beat photos taken with nature.  Wander through the trees or down the footpaths.		Taupo Airport Actual airplane photos would involve prior arrangement, however there is farm land all around the airport, with long dry grass in summer.  Very casual yet effective.
	Taupo Lakefront Lake Taupo is the size of Singapore, and there are too many suitable spots to mention.  However the main lakefront, 2, 3, 4 & 5 Mile Bays are all within close proximity and is a great place to start.		Rose Gardens This is a popular spot for Summer Ceremonies, however also makes for a bright & pretty place for photos.  Wander across the road to the Boat Harbour or Float Plane...making this a one stop location.
	Taupo Boat Harbour The quaint boat harbour in the middle of town offers many of launches to shoot from.  Amazing spot to take full advantage of Taupo sunsets too.		Float Plane Jetty The iconic Taupo Float Plane is a unique feature to have in your wedding photos.  Why not jump in and land at your lakeside venue by float plane?
	Kinloch Bay Picturesque Kinloch is only a 15 minute drive from Taupo.  This secluded bay is beautiful and offers a different perspective of the Lake.		2 Mile Bay Sailing Center This lakeside location offers sandy beaches, sailing boats and yachts.
